Bay Creek, which is along the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, features 27-holes of golf, including an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature course, and a 9-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The Palmer Course has four holes on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, eight holes on Old Plantation Creek and several holes framed by sand dunes and large beach bunkers. The 7,250-yard course plays to a par of 72 and features smooth A-4 greens and Tifway 419 Bermuda fairways.
The Nicklaus Course has acres of dunes, mature trees, small well-protected greens, and water on several holes. The 9-hole course measures 3,645 from the championship tees and is a par 36.
The Palmer Course opened in 2001, while the Nicklaus Course debuted in 2006. Both courses are private, but the community retains a resort component, renting homes and allowing guests pay to play.
In addition to 27-holes of golf, Bay Creek also includes a 10,000 sq. ft. Life Center. From expert fitness instruction, two pools (one for laps and one for kids), and state-of-the-art exercise equipment, to nutrition assessments and professionally designed environs that both calm and energize, the Life Center is the hub of fitness and wellness for the Bay Creek community.
Bay Creek’s 350-acre Nature Preserve is a haven for hiking, walking, canoeing, kayaking, and learning about nature. In the clubhouse, tucked beside the Bay Creek Golf Shop and overlooking the club’s golf practice facility, the Coach House Tavern is Bay Creek’s restaurant and tavern with an Eastern Shore-inspired menu that celebrates the flavors of the region. The dining destination exudes the character of a historic coach house, showcasing salvaged elements from authentic historic structures found on the Bay Creek property, some dating back to the 1800’s.
