Features:
• First collaboration between 700-year-old Italian lighting brand Barovier&Toso and multidisciplinary designer Luca Nichetto
• To bring Nichetto’s vision to fruition, production methods were retooled and a groundbreaking new technique was unearthed—the result of rigorous research and development
• Recalling an iconic Venetian design that typically utilizes a metal cage to create and maintain its form, in a rare feat of engineering, these particular beauties are crafted without metal cages
• Composed of pure glass
• Aptly named, Vallonné—or “hilly” in French—references the soft curves sculpted by nature, perfectly describing the organic contrast between the ribbing and hollows of the new collections—elements that accentuate their three-dimensional forms
• Avant-garde in character, the Vallonné collections are marked by a symmetrical overlay of ballooning, clear and cloudy volumes with harmonious proportions
• Vallonné features transparent crystal containing a tapered core of glass that conceals the light source
• Vallonné Opale is strengthened with the jacketing technique and infused with an opaline, milky external effect that spreads light gently
