Banyan Cay Dev, LLC acquired The President Country Club in August and renamed the property, with plans to redevelop the 119-acre site into a resort-style community in West Palm Beach, Fla. The project includes a complete rebuild of the member clubhouse and overhaul of the golf amenities.
Banyan Cay Dev, LLC acquired The President Country Club from Palm Tree Golf Management LLC in August, and unveiled initial plans for a large-scale redevelopment project of the 119 acre site. The name for the development project will be Banyan Cay Resort & Golf Club, which aims to build a resort-style community in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The project, which received final approval from the city in March 2015, includes an established hotel brand partner, a high-end home/tower builder, as well as a complete rebuild of the member clubhouse and overhaul of the golf amenities.
“This will be the largest redevelopment project in West Palm Beach since CityPlace,” said Sam Bauer, President of Banyan Cay Dev. “We are very excited to roll out our plans to the public over the next few months and share with our neighbors this elaborate vision for a vibrant revitalization of this area.”
Banyan Cay Golf Club currently has an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. The course has already seen some renovations including lake bank improvements, re-grassing of some rough areas and over-seeding as well as visual enhancements to improve your golf experience.
The club and golf course have remained open for play throughout the development process.
