BallenIsles Country Club, part of a private community in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., recently unveiled its newly renovated East golf course. Redesigned by Keith Foster, BallenIsles’ East Course is Foster’s first project in Florida.
After two years of construction to the course—an investment of $9 million—the club has allocated another $14 million to clubhouse improvement, and a complete renovation is in progress for a state-of-the-art spa and fitness center. The total investment in improvements to the property will be $49 million.
The East Course holds an impressive history within the PGA, having hosted the PGA Championship and Senior Championship, the World Cup, and countless other high-profile tournament events. Jack Nicklaus and Julius Boros won PGA championships at BallenIsles, and Lee Travino teamed with Nicklaus to help the U.S. team sweep to an exciting World Cup victory at the club.
