The Aztec, N.M. club has turned to the experienced golf course manager and professional golfer to help increase the number of community events and tournaments held at the facility. Ried hopes to use social media and word of mouth to grow the property’s presence.
Aztec Municipal Golf Course has named Ty Ried as its new General Manager. Reid’s focus will be on marketing the facility through social media and word of mouth, the Farmington Daily Times reported.
Ried has managed golf courses nationwide and is a professional golfer. He is a graduate of New Mexico State University’s professional golf management program. Ried also has a master’s degree in business administration from NMSU, reported the Daily Times.
Ried described the Aztec course as unique, reported the Daily Times.
“This is probably really a gem of a golf course that we have here,” Ried said.
The course has a challenging 18-hole layout with extraordinary views, but is accessible for people of all levels, said Ried. Aztec GC also boasts the only full liquor license in the Aztec area, reported the Daily Times.
