Winney has been with the club since 2007.
Allan Winney has been promoted from Sous Chef to Head Chef at Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Winney has had a variety of experiences in the restaurant business some of these are as the short order cook at the Fasig Tipton Sales center during their sales and as a line cook at Tosca Restaurant. He went to work at Saratoga National as a Banquet Cook in 2006 where he worked under Kevin Robinson. When Robinson left Saratoga National to return to Saratoga Golf and Polo Club, he brought Winney with him. Winney has been with the club since 2007.
“Allan’s cooking abilities, his willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, his pursuit of knowledge demonstrated in his interactions with other chef’s in the area and the respect that he has earned from the kitchen staff and the Club staff are the reasons we have promoted him the Head Chef position here,” says Ron Ireland, PGA, General Manager.
