Organizers of the Club & Resort Business Design & Renovation Insights Workshop have announced the agenda for their event, to be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at Charlotte Country Club, Charlotte, N.C.
The workshop is built around the comprehensive $20.7 million renovation of Charlotte Country Club’s historic, 70-year-old clubhouse.
The Workshop on April 18 will be sponsored by Chambers, the Baltimore, MD, design firm that served as project partner for the Charlotte Country Club project and provided services for master planning, interior architecture and design, purchasing and installation.
The Agenda is as follows:
8:00 – 8:30 AM: Registration and Morning Refreshments
8:30 – 8:45 AM: Welcome and Opening Remarks – Dan Ramella, President, Club & Resort Business
8:45 – 9:30 AM: Keynote by Chambers – Trends in Club Design & Renovation
- Making up for lost time with delayed/deferred improvements
- Type and scope of projects now being seen at club and resort properties
- Overall levels of activity in the industry, and how that can affect key factors (construction costs, materials)
- Special considerations for older facilities with historic significance
9:30 – 10:30 AM: The Charlotte CC Clubhouse Renovation – Presentation by the Charlotte CC GM, Directors/members, staff
