The project at the Nebraska City, Neb. property will involve construction of a sizable addition as well as an upgrade of the existing structure. The club is also building five additional four-plex cottages, more than doubling its current on-site accommodations.
ArborLinks, a private destination 18-hole golf club in Nebraska City, Neb. has officially broken ground on a clubhouse renovation. The project will involve the construction of a sizeable addition on the east side of the existing structure, followed by a renovation of the existing clubhouse to connect the two facilities and complete the project with as little disruption to the remainder of the 2018 season as possible.
The announcement comes amid several ongoing projects, including the installation of an on-course comfort station and the construction of additional cottages, both of which commenced this spring.
ArborLinks, a Dormie Network golf club, has completed a number of course improvements over the course of the year, including a bridge replacement, the installation of capillary concrete liners in bunkers, and an upgrade to its golf cart fleet.
Noteworthy equipment investments have included an Air2G2 hydrostatic probe air injection machine, as well as a Wiedenmann Terra Spike XF8 aeration and soil decompaction machine, both of which will facilitate upcoming course maintenance initiatives.
This spring, the club also began construction on five additional four-plex cottages, more than doubling its current on-site accommodations. Meanwhile, construction has begun on an on-course comfort station between the third and fourth holes.
ArborLinks is also working alongside the Arbor Day Foundation, which operates the adjacent Arbor Day Farm, a recreational space that covers 260 acres and includes the Lied Lodge & Conference Center. The club will install an approximately one-mile pathway connecting the two properties, making the Arbor Day Farm’s many corporate and family amenities more accessible to club guests.
ArborLinks features an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course with a links-style design and ample fescue and bunkering to stimulate creative strategy and challenging play. The club also offers a practice facility, full-service restaurant, and outdoor patio space.
Other capital improvement projects at clubs across the Dormie Network include the construction of on-site lodging that is currently underway at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas and in the planning stages at the Dormie Club in Pinehurst, N.C.
In addition, the Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Va. currently has a maintenance facility under construction.
