The Napa, Calif. property has completed a $3.5 million renovation that includes a new entrance, reception area and retail space. Treatment rooms and suites in the 5,919-sq. ft. facility were also upgraded.
Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif. has put the finishing touches on a $3.5 million renovation project at its spa and has reopened the facility, the Napa Valley Register reported.
The 28-acre luxury facility has upgraded the 5,919-sq.-ft. space to include a new spa entrance, airy guest reception and retail space.
According to the Register, the project also included an expanded relaxation area, as well as newly designed treatment rooms and suites.
“We are constantly striving to enhance the guest experience at Carneros Resort and Spa and offer the highest quality amenities in Napa Valley,” Edward Costa, the resort’s Managing Director, told the Register.
The renovations at the spa “reflect the resort coming full circle since its rebranding and renovations in 2016, and is the last piece to establishing the property’s identity as a ‘destination resort,’ ” Costa added.
Designed by Oakland, Calif.-based Nina Chiappa Interiors and design firm TLCD Architecture, the Spa at Carneros Resort’s new, “stylistic architectural elements, finishes and fixtures exemplify a sophisticated modern farmhouse design,” the Register reported.
The outdoor entrance is decked out with a Mediterranean-style garden, complete with a centrally located fountain, benches, lounge chairs and a beautifully planted trellis.
Inside the spa, the interior is adorned in rift-cut stained oak, ivory-colored walls, limestone-patterned floors, chevron-pattern oak cabinets, and black iron accents.
A center tower is exposed by 26-foot ceilings that create visual cues that balance the original architecture.
Also featured are nine indoor treatment rooms, including a new couples suite and a specialty studio suite.
Each treatment room is outfitted with light wood flooring, new massage tables, furnishings and equipment, and “colored with deep soothing green tones,” the Register reported.
Surrounded by rolling farm lands, the reimagined spa menu highlights ingredients reflective of the natural abundance of the Napa wine country and Carneros Resort and Spa’s half-acre Culinary Garden, the Register reported.
New offerings include the Body Botany massage, which begins with an antioxidant rich body scrub and a choice of ingredients and corresponding benefits, including the immune-boosting olive leaf and rosemary scrub; a coffee, lemon and shea butter scrub; and the nourishing hibiscus and blood orange scrub.
Another option for guests is the Tune Me Up tri-sensory experience, which guides them through an infrared sauna, a do-it-yourself scrub and relaxation in an anti-gravity chair in the specialty studio.
The Carneros resort also features three full-service restaurants, a general store, two pools and a 3,000-sq. ft. fitness center featuring cardiovascular and strength-training equipment.
