Bear’s Paw Country Club in Naples, Fla., the first Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in Southwest Florida, announced that demolition of its 34-year-old clubhouse has begun, to make way for a new, $11 million building that is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2019. The club is also expanding its fitness center.
“The new clubhouse will provide a stunning platform for a completely transformed member dining experience, along with well-appointed locker rooms and an expanded pro shop for a superb retail experience for members, guests and reciprocal players,” said Doug Brown, Bear’s Paw General Manager.
The new clubhouse will accommodate larger functions and feature a spacious outdoor patio with views of the 18thfairway that address the demand for more casual outdoor-dining options. An indoor/outdoor bar and four private dining/meeting rooms will round out the interior space.
Bear’s Paw’s new fitness center will accommodate increased demand for additional equipment and for addressing members’ growing interest in wellness, fitness and health programming.
Bear’s Paw has added 129 new members over the past five years.
