“The Hangout” is now open for business at its permanent location on the Sacramento, Calif. facility’s driving range, offering a completely different menu than the property’s MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille. Golfers and foodies in the Sacramento, Calif. area can now find a new food truck, “The Hangout,” providing burgers, sandwiches and shareables at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, which features two championship golf courses, a world-class teaching facility, a 15,200-sq. ft. retail “Super Shop” and a night-lighted driving range that is open 24 hours a day May through September.
The Hangout is now open for business at its permanent location on the facility’s driving range, offering a completely different menu than the property’s MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille.
The Hangout offers a wide variety of made-to-order menu items, with prices ranging from $8.99 to $12.99. The food truck will be open for lunch and dinner from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. An extensive drink menu is also available.
Menu items include the signature “Hangout Burger,” featuring a 1/3 pound burger with arugula, bacon jam, horseradish aioli, pork rinds and sharp cheddar cheese, and the “Mile-High Mac and Cheese Sandwich,” prepared on Texas toast.
Because The Hangout is located on the driving range, the menu includes many items big enough to share, including the brisket and queso-covered fries, Chicken Chorizo Nachos, Baja Tacos or Chicken Wings, which are available in three different styles, including mango habanero, sweet and tango or buffalo.
“The Hangout is the place to come for great food and to hang out with friends and family,” said Dave Ohlsen, Haggin Oaks’ Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.
