The Manistee, Mich., resort, which is owned by the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, will now own and operate the 18-hole golf course. The par-72 layout features views of Bear Lake and will open for resort guests in early May.
Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, Mich., under ownership of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, has acquired the Bear Lake (Mich.) Highlands Golf Course, the Manistee News Advocate reported
The Tribe has placed management of this new enterprise under the resort, the News Advocate reported.
Bear Lake Highlands is an 18-hole, par 72, course that features rolling terrain, numerous ponds, views of Bear Lake and the surrounding countryside, the News Advocate reported.
The resort has begun preparations to open the course, including posting several jobs. The course is expected to open in early May, the News Advocate reported.
Bear Lake will be the resort’s only golf amenity. Little River offers a casino, concert venue, hotel, Nectar Spa & Salon, six food-and-beverage outlets, a boutique and trading post, one outdoor and two indoor pools, and a fitness center.
