In February 2017, the three-story, wooden clubhouse at the St. Charles, Mo., property was destroyed in a fire, but the club is busy rebuilding, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for the new facility on May 14.
Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles, Mo., is getting close to re-opening with a new clubhouse, just over a year after it was destroyed by fire, the St. Louis Fox 2 reported.
In February of 2017, the three-story, wooden clubhouse was a total loss after a blaze. C&RB reported in September 2017 on how the club’s sound insurance practices helped it bounce back quickly.
President and General Manager Angel Walters-Likens is the third generation of the family to run the club and she vowed to rebuild. “It was hard at first but we’re excited to author a beautiful clubhouse not only to members but also for weddings and corporate and business outings,” Walters-Likens said.

The old club was 35,000 sq. ft. and now measures 46,000 sq. ft. with a ballroom that seats 280 and adjoining rooms accommodating up to 500. The Bogey Bistro offers a more casual dining option and access to the kid’s room, full bar, and fire pits outside, Fox 2 reported.
The club has added golf simulators inside for leagues and for club fittings, as well as a bigger pool area with bar, Fox 2 reported.
“We’re excited to bring the new young membership and golf and what the country club has to offer the new generation,” Walters-Likens said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for May 14, Fox 2 reported.
“I’m biased but I don’t think it compares to any club in St. Louis metro area,” Walters-Likens said. “It’s one of kind, beautiful inside.”
