Construction of the new Tennis and Aquatic Center at the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Fla. has been completed, and the new facility is now open to club members, the Naples (Fla.) Daily News reported.
The Center will also be available, the Daily News reported, as another amenity offered through a variety of full golf and sports membership opportunities at Bonita Bay that will be available to future residents of the 26-floor, 120-unit Seaglass high-rise tower that is on schedule for completion this summer. The tower is 63 percent sold and purchase agreements worth more than $150 million have been processed, the Daily News reported.
The Tennis and Aquatic Center’s renovated pool includes four lap lanes, a beach entry, and a spa, the Daily News reported. The facility also houses The Breezeway Bar and Café, which features poolside outdoor dining and offers casual fare, and an open-air, under roof bar is available for a poolside beverage.
The Center’s large pool deck features two firepit areas with built-in seating, the Daily News reported, and dedicated pool restrooms, showers, and locker rooms, as well as a towel pick-up and drop-off station, provide additional measures of convenience.
The completion of the Tennis and Aquatic Center continues the expansion of the Bonita Bay Club’s already extensive tennis facilities, the Daily News reported. A re-arrangement and slight expansion of the 18-court tennis complex was completed in December 2015 and included the addition of a championship court and two oversized tournament courts.
To provide a focal point of the new Tennis and Aquatic Center, the club built a new 8,000-sq. ft. Sports Center that is between the tennis complex and the aquatic area, the Daily News reported, and includes a tennis pro shop with a professional staff, racquet services, a tennis retail shop, and a lobby area, as well as dedicated men’s and ladies’ tennis locker rooms. Court-assignment television monitors are placed throughout the facility, and a multipurpose room is available for meetings, event food stations, private dining, and tournament preparation.
A covered patio overlooks and runs the entire length of the new championship court and provides a prime location for viewing matches, the Daily News reported.
Five new pickleball courts have also been completed, the Daily News reported, that are located adjacent to the Bonita Bay Club’s Lifestyle Center. The cushioned/Laykold Gel courts are equipped with LED lighting and the pickleball complex includes a championship court and a certified professional.
