The Orlando, Fla., property, which is operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, constructed an American FootGolf League-accredited, 18-hole FootGolf course alongside its traditional golf course.
Arnold Palmer Golf Management is becoming a member of the American FootGolf League (AFGL), offering guests the opportunity to play FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.
Disney Golf’s new FootGolf course was constructed alongside its traditional golf course, and it is accredited by the AFGL. The new 18-hole course offers a fun experience for FootGolf amateurs and experts alike.
Since 2011, FootGolf has grown in popularity and is being played at approximately 500 courses in just about every state in America, as well as approximately 30 FootGolf tournaments conducted by AFGL throughout the United States each year.
“When the AFGL introduced FootGolf in North America, we were dreamers, but not even in our wildest dreams did we imagine a course located at Walt Disney World® Golf,” said Roberto Balestrini, AFGL founder. “The beauty of FootGolf is that it can be as fun or competitive as you want, as well as being enjoyed by individuals of all ages.”
FootGolf makes for a perfect family friendly afternoon activity, corporate team builder or birthday party. Played at Disney’s Oak Trail golf course, guests are sure to experience the magic of the Walt Disney World® Golf experience. An 18-hole experience can take as little as two hours to complete.
“We are thrilled to offer FootGolf to our guests and for Arnold Palmer Golf to be a member of the AFGL association,” said Bruce Gerlander, Arnold Palmer Golf Management General Manager. “Disney’s Oak Trail golf course is truly a great FootGolf location. You have the magic of playing at ‘The Happiest Place on TURF!’ coupled with the fun and exciting atmosphere of FootGolf. It’s a winning combination.”
Guests were able to book tee times for FootGolf starting on February 22, 2018. From February 22 through March 25, guests can enjoy a two-for-one promotion and at a special rate of $15 for Walt Disney World Resort and Shades of Green Resort guests and $20 for all others. Price includes a free second player and ball rental for both participants.
In addition to Disney’s Oak Trail, Walt Disney World® Golf operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management offers three 18-hole championship courses, golf instruction and junior camps.
