In conjunction with KemperSports, the Brentwood, Tenn. property has completed projects that include a renovated bath house, resurfaced tennis courts, new walking trails with enhanced water features, and lighting and landscape enhancements.
The Governors Club in Brentwood, Tenn. has recently completed several renovation projects to its golf clubhouse and residential community. Spearheaded by The Governors Club Property Owners Association (GCPOA) and working in concert with KemperSports, which was recently hired to manage the property, the improvements are part of the community’s long-range master improvement plan. Completed improvements have included a renovated bath house, resurfaced tennis courts, new walking trails with enhanced water features, and lighting and landscape enhancements.
Projects at the clubhouse included the interior renovation of more than 7,000 sq. ft. in the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and lounges. Additional improvements were made to the exterior of the clubhouse, including new windows, roof, gutters and lighting fixtures.
The latest projects add to several significant club-improvement projects made at The Governors Club since 2013, including:
• Renovated driving range and course restrooms (2016)
• Expansion and remodel of the Palmer Dining Room that included two private dining rooms and an expanded bar (2015)
• New dining terrace (2014)
• Resurfacing of all 18 greens to MiniVerde Bermuda turf (2013)
“The Governors Club and KemperSports remain committed to providing an unmatched offering for our valued members,” said Jim Fitzsimmons, KemperSports’ General Manager of the club. “We are confident these projects, and the ones completed years ago, will ensure a vibrant and active club going forward.”
The Governors Club opened in May 1999 and is designated as an Arnold Palmer Signature Design. The 18-hole, par-72 golf course spanning 7,031 yards from the championship tees is situated on 200 acres of scenic land, with the layout routed through meandering creeks, dramatic elevation changes and stunning vistas.
Along with full golf memberships, The Governors Club also offers resident social and corporate memberships.
“I want to thank KemperSports for working with us this past year to improve our community,’ said Board President Tim Stinson. “We are excited about our new relationship with Kemper serving as our property management company and, together, we see many opportunities to make The Governors Club the premier community that we all desire.”
