Magnolia Green in Moseley, Va., opened its new clubhouse to the public for lunch and dinner on November 13.
The two-story, 15,000-sq. ft. Craftsman-style clubhouse is multifunctional, offering a full-service restaurant, bar and golf pro shop. Designed by Tony Paladino with Raphael Garcia & Associates, it features vistas of the Magnolia Green golf course and offers 4,800 sq. ft. of event space plus a 1,300-sq. ft. covered rear dining area. The $5.6 million facility is open to Magnolia Green Golf members, Magnolia Green residents and the public.
“We’re proud of the phenomenal growth we’ve had at Magnolia Green, and can’t wait for our residents, golf club members and the general public to visit our new state-of-the-art clubhouse,” said Tom Page, vice president of iStar, owner and developer of Magnolia Green. “It’s ideally suited for events of all types and will quickly become a favorite gathering place.”
The clubhouse can host up to 220 guests for private functions like corporate events, cocktail hours, banquets and more. The venue’s inaugural wedding was held on October 28 on the formal lawn and arbor.
The main dining area, ‘The Grille’ at Magnolia Green, will follow the culinary vision of Executive Chef David Switzer, featuring signature dishes such as she-crab soup, pan-smoked salmon, sirloin filets and pork chops, as well as a selection of sandwiches, pastas, pizza and a full kids’ menu.
The clubhouse is the centerpiece of Magnolia Green Golf Club, which features an 18-hole, Nicklaus-designed in association with Tom Clark championship golf course and practice facility. It joins the community’s impressive portfolio of amenities. They include a new one-of-a-kind aquatic center with multiple pools, a custom pirate-themed playground, and, coming in 2018, a tennis center with eight lighted courts and two pickleball courts.
