The Fort Myers, Fla., property will break ground on the project in April 2018, with completion expected in the beginning on 2019. The project will expand the current clubhouse by 6,000 sq. ft. and include outdoor dining areas and an aerobics/wellness room adjacent to the fitness center.
Construction plans have been approved at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla., for an upcoming $7.9 million renovation and expansion of the main clubhouse.
The clubhouse currently provides members with three dining areas including a banquet facility, in addition to a full golf pro shop, fitness center, and bocce courts with views of the two championship golf courses.
The renovation project was approved by members and its Board of Directors. In addition to renovating the main club facility, the project will expand the current clubhouse by 6,000 sq. ft. to include resort-style outdoor dining areas and aerobics/wellness room adjacent to the fitness center. The club’s six Har-Tru tennis courts will all be resurfaced in the plan as well.
“The renovation plan demonstrates our members’ dedication to providing an exceptional private club experience which is considered among the best in Southwest, Florida.” said General Manager Matt Gaudet. “We want The Forest Country Club to continue to be the first choice for those seeking 36 holes and an all-inclusive club lifestyle in our area.”
The renovation is slated to start in April 2018 and be completed by the beginning of 2019.
“Golf play will not be disrupted and the staff is planning fun and unique dining experiences for our members during the renovation period,” said Gaudet.
