Billy Casper Golf (BCG) will operate Brentwood Golf Course in Jacksonville, Fla.
The municipal facility was previously leased by The First Tee of North Florida, which continues to use the course as the main location for programming in Duval County.
“This partnership allows us to focus on our mission and provide character education to the children of the community while exposing them to the game of golf. In addition, Brentwood will still be home to many juniors throughout the community,” said Jeff Willoughby, Executive Director of The First Tee of North Florida. “We look forward to working with Billy Casper Golf as their expertise in golf course conditioning and operations will improve the overall guest experience at Brentwood Golf Course.”
In addition to nine player-friendly holes, Brentwood also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, which spans 14 acres and is modeled after TPC Sawgrass. The practice facility features an all-grass hitting area, chipping green, putting green and sand bunker.
“With a unique layout that is an important offering in the community, Brentwood is poised for growth,” says Dan Zimmer, Regional Director of Operations for BCG. “The golfers who play the course will realize the Billy Casper Golf difference in the short and long term.”
BCG will guide golf course maintenance, marketing, sales, staffing and training and more for the nine-hole layout. Operations will be locally-managed by a professional golf and agronomic team, supported by both a regional and national team that provides expert guidance and direction in all facets of the business.
