The property hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 17 to highlight its new 2,200-sq. ft. recreational pool, kiddie pool, and outdoor event pavilion that includes an outdoor bar and fire pit.
The Oak Ridge (Tenn.) Country Club now features two pools and an outdoor pavilion for events, thanks to recent renovations, the Oak Ridger reported.
Both pools are recreation spaces rather than pools for lap swimming, said Jerry Williams, PGA Director of Golf and General Manager. One is a 2,200-sq. ft. recreational pool, while the other is a kiddie pool with buckets that fill up and dump water on children, the Oak Ridger reported.
The outdoor event pavilion can host special events such as weddings, and includes an outdoor bar and fire pit. The aquatic center was completed last summer and the event pavilion wrapped up construction this spring, the Oak Ridger reported.
“It’s the scenery and the views,” said Williams, regarding the appeal of the outdoor event pavilion compared to other event and banquet venues in the area. “It gives us a lot more capability to cater to the whole family.”
Oak Ridge Country Club held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new developments on May 17, which included light refreshments, the Oak Ridger reported.
