The San Jose, Calif., property doubled the size of its first-floor kitchen, added both indoor and outdoor seating in the family dining area, expanded and renovated the bar area, and updated locker room lounges. The interior of the 32,500-sq. ft. clubhouse was repainted, and all common areas have new flooring, window treatments and furnishings.
Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, Calif., recently unveiled a new upscale bar/lounge and restaurant to conclude two years of clubhouse and course renovations.
Clubhouse renovations were revealed to members at a January grand reopening celebration.
The club’s food-and-beverage operations were expanded—the first-floor kitchen doubled in size to assist in delivering more timely and consistent service. The family dining area now includes indoor and outdoor dining options with a new outdoor eating space, and the club’s bar and bar area were also expanded and renovated to include more seating options. A new lounge was also added in the men’s locker room, while the ladies’ locker room lounge was completely renovated.
The entire interior of the clubhouse has been repainted while all common areas have new flooring, window treatments and furnishings. Locker rooms and restrooms have been fully renovated and re-outfitted. A new HVAC system has also been installed to service the 32,500-sq. ft. clubhouse.
“Everyone at Silver Creek Valley is ecstatic about all of the new improvements,” said General Manager Alan Deck. “Our new dining venues are undoubtedly some of the best in Northern California. The expanded and renovated amenities are now much more functional and comfortable for our members to enjoy. The improvements have given the clubhouse more of a resort-style look and feel, which our members love.”
Golf course improvements over the last two years have included a new all-weather hitting surface on the practice range to accommodate year-round instruction, cart path restoration, tree removal and replacement, and equipment upgrades. Most importantly, a “green” initiative has greatly reduced watering and maintained turf, making the course more environmentally friendly.
The recent clubhouse renovations are the first major improvements to the building since opening in 1995.
