The 65-year-old Mint Hill, N.C., facility will undergo an update, with the first phase including a remodel of the lounge and snack bar. A later phase will update the ballroom, main dining room, hallways and entryway.
Pine Lake Country Club in Mint Hill, N.C., has announced a major renovation to the 65-year-old club.
The project will kick off with a “hard hat” construction party during the first week in January, marking the first phase to include remodeling of the club’s lounge and snack bar. The ballroom, main dining room, hallways and entryway are being proposed as part of a later renovation phase. Organizers plan to have the lounge completed by the start of the spring golf season.
The facility will be updated, while maintaining its family-oriented and unique character.
The club originated in 1952, and since then has completed additions to the original clubhouse. The recently renovated pool complex is home to the 2016 League Champions; The Pine Lake Piranhas. The course itself, created in the 1960’s enjoyed an extensive renovation in 1988 under the direction of John LaFoy, a devotee of the legendary Donald Ross. The club occupies 157 acres with five fresh water lakes, abundant wildlife including a resident American bald eagle.
