Members of the Columbus, Ohio facility recently approved the strategic plan, the scope of which will touch on all areas of the club. The golf course and pool will be updated, while the clubhouse will see renovations to its dining areas, including the introduction of a new casual pub.
Brookside Golf & Country Club in Columbus, Ohio has announced the start of a $2,250,000 construction and renovation project.
Recently, the members of Brookside approved a strategic plan to ensure that the club continues to be better aligned with the needs of its current and future members. The scope of this project includes the golf course, pool and clubhouse. Within the clubhouse, multiple dining areas will be renovated, including the introduction of a brand-new casual pub.
“It is important that Brookside Golf & Country Club honors its traditions while embracing progress towards the future. The members are very enthusiastic about the construction and the future of their club,” said General Manager Matt Ruehling.
Founded in 1927, Brookside Golf & Country Club is made up of 260 acres, featuring a tree-lined, 18-hole golf course that has been host to many U.S. Open Sectional Qualifiers as well as the 2012 Ohio Amateur. The athletic facility houses a fitness center, seven tennis courts and a Z-shaped Olympic size swimming pool. The Tudor-style clubhouse and athletic facility are largely hidden from public view, shielded by mature trees and luxuriant landscape.
