The Baltimore, Md.-based club planning, architecture and interior design firm has promoted Charlie Turner to the position. Turner will also continue to fulfill his current role as Director of Interior Design.
Baltimore, Md.-based Chambers, a full-service club planning, architecture and interior design firm, recently announced the promotion of Charlie Turner to Vice President. He will also continue to fulfill his current role as Director of Interior Design.
Since joining Chambers three years ago, Turner has played an essential part in providing first-class interior design services. Aside from managing one of the top private club interior design teams in the country, he has also worked with numerous private clubs to produce designs that are uniquely forward-thinking and on-trend.
“Charlie has worked across boundaries over the last three years to understand the dynamics between planning, architecture, and interior design and how they all successfully work together,” says Bob Hickman, chairman and head of Interior Design. “Everyone at Chambers has benefitted from his global view of the design world in which we live every day.”
Turner’s extensive background working for two of the finest hospitality design firms in Washington, D.C., Hickock Cole Architects and ForrestPerkins, has been invaluable to creating comprehensive interiors and interior enhancement plans for private clubs that augment the member experience.
Chambers has been working in the private club industry since its first engagement with Baltimore Country Club in the mid 1940s. Today, it is the largest hospitality design firm in the nation with a singular purpose of working with private clubs. Chambers is also a Corporate Alliance Partner of the Club Managers Association of America, providing significant support to the continuing education and advancement of the private club industry.
