The Indian Wells, Calif., property has begun construction on a new casual restaurant with lounge, covered terrace and display kitchen; a junior Olympic pool with covered pavilion; and a tennis center with two additional hard-surface tennis courts and two pickleball courts. The facilities are expected to open in November 2017.
Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, Calif., has announced the addition of a casual restaurant, sports club pavilion, pool and pool pavilion, event lawn and two tennis courts. Construction on the new facilities began in May and will be opened for members in November 2017.
“Our members are looking for relaxed environments where they can connect with friends and family, and it’s imperative that we are always two steps ahead to anticipate their every wish,” said William Bone, President and Founder of club developer Sunrise Company. “Through the valuable insight provided in a series of member focus groups, we were able to craft the remaining amenities to deliver the next phase of exceptional offerings they’ve come to expect from Toscana.”
Members will enjoy a relaxed dining experience throughout the new casual restaurant that includes a lounge, covered terrace and display kitchen. The lounge will offer a large horse-shoe shaped bar with high and low tables that flow into the adjacent covered terrace and will open to the outside with large disappearing pocket doors. The outdoor garden terrace will include a long linear fire pit to enjoy drinks.
A multi-purpose room will be used for card playing, kids’ activities, seminars and private events, and can be opened to the lounge for special events. The coffee and juice bar will be a morning meeting spot with a barista serving coffee, specialty drinks, juices and pastries.
Sunken six feet below the restaurant to enhance the views from dining, the junior Olympic pool will accommodate lap swimming, aqua fitness classes and recreational swimming, and features a kiddie pool. The open-air covered pavilion will offer a space to gather with friends and family in the sitting and lounging areas, and will be adjacent to the bocce courts. Immediately south of the pool, the event lawn will host club and private events, kids’ activities and outdoor fitness classes. The Sports Club Pavilion will contain a movement studio for group exercise classes and a Pilates studio. The Charlie Pasarell Tennis Center will be completed with two additional hard-surface tennis courts and two pickleball courts.
