Palm Cove Golf & Yacht Club and The Evergreen Club have been sold to KVC Golf, LLC, and CGO Palm City, LLC, respectively, under undisclosed terms. In Florence, S.C., The Country Club of South Carolina was recently put on the market without a listing price in a sealed-bid offering.
Two Florida golf courses have recently been sold, while one South Carolina golf property is now on the market.
- KVC Golf, LLC has purchased Palm Cove Golf & Yacht Club in Palm City, Fla., and the price and terms of the transaction are confidential. The 18-hole golf course serves as the recreational centerpiece of the Palm Cove G&YC residential community. The golf course was designed by Arnold Palmer Golf Design and opened for play in 1996. The course was renovated in 2002 by Gary Player Design along with PGA Tour consultant Chi Chi Rodriguez. The new owner has invested capital into the golf course and restaurant during the summer and has introduced a new fall membership program.
- CGO Palm City, LLC, has purchased The Evergreen Club, also in Palm City, Fla., with the terms of the deal undisclosed. The Evergreen Club is a private golf club routed through the Evergreen Residential Community. The club features an 18-hole golf course, driving range, and 19,000-sq. ft. clubhouse. The Charlie Martin Design opened for play in 1982. In recent years, the clubhouse underwent extensive renovations, additional tees were added and the greens were replaced with TifEagle. The new owners plan to grow the membership through an aggressive membership drive.
- The Country Club of South Carolina in Florence is up for sale without a listing price, as it is a sealed bid offering, the Florence-based Morning News reported. The property features an Ellis Maples-designed 7,062-yard, 18-hole golf course with a pro shop and practice facilities, six lighted Har-Tru clay tennis courts (two with stadium seating), a fitness center accessible around the clock, a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and a kiddie pool. Duffers Bar & Grill, the Grille Room and the Palmetto Room offer ascending levels of dining formality, and the grand ballroom, with teak flooring and a stage, can host weddings and special events. The sale includes a 28-acre parcel along the golf course’s 11th hole, the Morning News reported.
