The newly renovated fine-dining outlet won the Distinguished Restaurants of North America’s Achievement of Distinction in Dining, which considers quality of the physical property, cuisine, beverages, and service. The Union League is the only club in the city with this distinction.
Wigwam, a newly renovated fine-dining outlet at The Union League Club of Chicago, has received the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) Achievement of Distinction in Dining.
The award, which was established in 1990, considers quality of physical property and décor, quality of cuisine and menu, quality of beverages, and quality of service. The distinction lasts for three years, before another anonymous inspection takes place.
The Union League is the only club in Chicago with this distinction, and fewer than 800 restaurants nationwide have received the honor. The award was announced at the organization’s annual conference in New Orleans, held from October 18-21.
C&RB featured The Union League Club of Chicago’s renovation projects in the November 2015 issue, “Designing a New Destiny.”
