The shuttered Rancho Mirage (Calif.) Country Club is liquidating all of its assets, including 80 late-model golf carts, tractors, mowers, trailers, commercial kitchen equipment, pro shop, banquet equipment and more via an online auction.
The new owner is selling the items and contracted with CalAuctions.com to handle the sale. The sale will be Internet-only and will close November 4. Buyers in the area can inspect property beginning November 3, and winners can pick up items on November 5-6.
“This is your chance to buy items from one of Californiaʼs premier country clubs and golf courses. Rancho Mirage is well-known as one the top celebrity golf courses in Southern California,” said Auctioneer Jason Hanks.
Among items going up on the auction block are two commercial kitchens, driving range equipment, beverage cart, banquet equipment, locker rooms, and fitness equipment.
“At this auction you can buy everything from fine china to a fully stocked tool box—or a tractor and golf carts,” Hanks said. “Many of the items being sold are in very good condition. The course has been closed for awhile and most of the inventory has just been sitting. We encourage all potential buyers to come and see for yourself.”
“Weʼre still finding more ‘stuff’ hidden away and the catalog is being updated daily. CalAuctions always takes the time to make sure we do everything right. This is a big auction, so it is important that we find all the treasures to include in the sale,” Mr. Hanks said. “Weʼre going to make sure everything is done correctly.”
