The North Plains, Ore., property features two 18-hole golf courses, one that is members-only and the other a daily-fee facility, as well as two 20,000-sq. ft. clubhouses, a 17-acre practice area, learning center, full-service restaurants and banquet space.
Escalante Golf, a boutique owner-operator of clubs and golf courses, has acquired a controlling interest in 36-hole Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore.
“Pumpkin Ridge’s strong tournament heritage, impressive architectural pedigree, beautiful setting and outstanding national reputation make it an ideal addition to our family,” said David McDonald, President of Escalante Golf. “We will continue delivering high levels of personalized service to Witch Hollow members, while creating an unforgettable experience for Ghost Creek guests.”
Pumpkin Ridge, which opened in 1992, features two Bob Cupp-designed layouts, Witch Hollow and Ghost Creek. The members-only, 7,017-yard, par-72 Witch Hollow has hosted the 1996 U.S. Amateur as well as the 1997 and 2003 Women’s U.S. Opens. It is the current venue for the season-ending WinCo Foods Portland Open.
Ghost Creek, a par-71, 6,871-yard daily-fee facility, features wetlands, undulating fairways, immaculate greens and strategic bunkering.
“As we open this new chapter in Pumpkin Ridge history, our focus will be on protecting the club’s integrity and traditions,” said McDonald. “We view our role as stewards of its proud heritage and pledge to preserve the club for future generations.”
Two 20,000-sq. ft. clubhouses, a 17-acre practice area, learning center, full-service restaurants and extensive banquet space are other Pumpkin Ridge calling cards.
