The West Palm Beach, Fla., property’s 15,000-sq. ft. sports village will be unveiled October 7, and includes a two-story fitness facility, resort-style pool, full service spa, and bistro.
Ibis Golf & Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., will hold a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new 15,000-sq. ft. sports village on October 7.
The complex is designed to provide the finest in dining, relaxation, sports and fitness, via its California-style bistro with an open kitchen and healthy dining options, expanded tennis center and shop, fitness facilities featuring interactive equipment, fitness classrooms, resort-style pool, lap pool, kids’ pool play area, full-service 4,500-sq. ft. spa, and a state-of-the-art Yoga Wall.
Ibis members will be joined by West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio, Commissioner Keith James, and Ibis management and staff to celebrate this landmark occasion. Complimentary spa treatments will be offered throughout the day.
The sports village joins the list of activity options and structures that Ibis offers its active membership, including three Nicklaus-family-designed 18-hole golf courses, practice greens, 14 Har-Tru tennis courts, bocce courts, basketball courts, on-site physical therapy, kids’ camp and sports clinics, a dog park, and bike lanes. In addition to its sports activities, Ibis offers a myriad of dining options and events, social events, a full array of card and game playing options, frequent off-campus trips, and more than 20 additional clubs and organizations focusing on cultural activities.
The grand opening marks the completion of Phase 1 of Ibis’s $33 million capital improvement project, embarked upon in January 2013. Ibis’s growing member base and relatively young average age demand that this club stay on the cutting edge of industry trends. The investment easily acquired the necessary votes to move forward, and progress has been efficient, remaining on schedule and on budget.
“I am continually impressed by not only the passion of our members and board, but also by their acute sense of business and forward-thinking focus,” Ibis General Manager/COO Stephen J. LoGiudice says. “Through their commitment to this huge undertaking, the Capital Improvement Project, our board of directors, committee members, and members-at-large have proven their commitment to truly making Ibis ‘a place everyone wants to come home to,’ a mantra we adopted that has been fully embraced by our community. These volunteers have been an integral part of seeing this huge undertaking come to fruition; with their passionate involvement in every step of the process, our members prove every day the reason we are here: truly, to make Ibis Golf & Country Club a place that they are proud to come home to.”
The sports village features:
