“He’s created this magnificent, executive course here at Top of the Rock—he bought the mountain,” said Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams, who added that each hole combines everything about the Ozarks. “Each hole has been designed to take advantage of the natural beauty that is here.”
Top of the Rock Tournament Director Kirk Elmquist, said it took 7 years to make everything perfect, Ozarks First reported.
“His passion for doing things is world class, first class like no one I’ve ever been around,” said Elmquist.
Morris bought the former restaurant and property from College of the Ozarks, then turned it into a PGA sanctioned, Par-3 golf course, Ozarks First reported.
“Enhancing [the property] and repurposing it to make it a PGA tour sanction facility has taken enormous about of effort and passion,” said Elmquist.
Champions Tour Pro golfer Bobby Wadkins, says there is nothing like it on the tour, Ozarks First reported.
“It’s probably the best practice tee I’ve ever seen, it’s a great place. It’s like being a kid in a candy store hitting all these bunkers out here.”
