Rounds at the Dye, Fazio and Watson-designed courses at Atlanta National GC, White Columns CC and The Manor Golf & Country Club can be played under a new golf membership being marketed by Sequoia Golf Group LLC, which recently acquired all three clubs in the north Atlanta suburbs, in addition to Polo Golf & Country Club.
After acquiring several prominent clubs in the northern suburbs of Atlanta in recent months (http://clubandresortbusiness.com/2014/03/19/sequoia-golf-acquires-manor-gcc/), Newnan, Ga.-based Sequoia Golf Group LLC is now marketing a Sequoia Club membership that will include golfing privileges at Atlanta National Golf Club, White Columns Country Club and The Manor Golf & Country Club.
The three clubs, located in the suburbs of Milton and Alpharetta, offer courses designed by Pete & P.B. Dye, Tom Fazio and Tom Watson. Additional amenities made available through the Sequoia Club membership include junior Olympic-sized pools, kids’ pools, fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor tennis facilities, and special event and meeting venues.
In the short term, daily-fee golf opportunities will still be offered at The Manor G&CC, Sequoia Golf says, but the club is transitioning from semi-private into an exclusive members-only club. As part of the transition, prospective members are invited to be the guest of the property for lunch or drinks.
Sequoia Golf Group LLC also recently acquired Polo Golf & Country Club in Cumming, Ga. to signify “our confidence in the Atlanta market,” according to President and CEO Joseph Guerra. It is further displaying that confidence by making $3.5 million in improvements at the properties it has acquired over the next 18 months.
