Author Daniel M. Pliska is an American Culinary Federation (ACF) certified chef and a member of the prestigious American Academy of Chefs, the International Association of Culinary Professionals, the Chefs Collaborative, and Slow Food. His 35 years of professional cooking experience span from Washington, D.C. to Dusseldorf, Germany and from New Orleans to Missouri. Pliska is a supervising chef for the Johnson County ACF Chef Apprenticeship Program, is on several school advisory boards, frequently judges culinary events, and hosts many special events where culinarians can share their knowledge and skills.
