A new golf course in Roanoke (Va.) County’s Mount Pleasant community hopes to draw golfers from across the country once construction of the Ballyhack Golf Club is finished next spring.
Designed by Richmond-based golf architect Lester George, the $15 million club will be a par 72, with a look designed and name to be reminiscent of the Scottish highlands says an article in The Roanoke Times.
The maximum 260 members—only 60 will be local residents—will pay membership fees of $40,000 to $130,000, then annual dues of $2,500 to $10,000 to play on the 190-acre course.
