Rolling Hills Country Club is seeking to expand and renovate its clubhouse, says an article in the Hersam Acorn Newspaper.
During a presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission last week, the club said its goal was to enhance the “residential look” of the clubhouse and to improve parking and lighting on the site.
According to the project’s landscape architect, Earl Goven of Blades and Goven LLC, the front entrance of the country club — which is situated on 157 acres on a long-term lease from the Elizabeth Raymond Ambler Trust — would be cleaned up and made level, with a stone retaining wall added to the front of the rotunda on the main drive. The stone wall running along the front of the property along Hurlbutt Street would be cleaned up to “make it a more meticulous wall,” he said.
