One of the greatest challenges businesses face in dealing with the U.S. government is the large number of different agencies they must work with—each with its own set of regulations. Business.gov (www.business.gov), the official business link to the U.S. government, re-launched in October to aggregate cross-agency compliance information, federal forms and government compliance contacts. State and municipal compliance information is also being phased into the site. Business.gov is managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration in a partnership with 21 federal agencies and is part of an e-government initiative to use technology for improving how the federal government services citizens and businesses.
