The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa, located in Weston, Fla. (25 minutes west of Fort Lauderdale), will complete a $100 million renovation by the end of the year. Enhancements and improvements to all guestrooms, restaurants, meeting, conference and convention space, as well as the addition of a Red Door Lifestyle Spa, Elizabeth Arden have elevated the property to Hyatt’s global standard of superior lodging.
“There’s not an element in this hotel that hasn’t been touched. It’s practically been knocked down to the studs and built back up piece by piece,” said General Manager Fred Euler. “For all intents and purposes, the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure is a new hotel.”
The hotel now offers 501 completely redesigned British Colonial-style guestrooms and suites featuring luxurious fabrics and distinguished furnishings. Each guest room provides high-speed Internet access, dual-line portable telephones with voicemail and speakerphone, deluxe bath amenities, digital scale, LCD television with cable/satellite and iHome AM/FM clock radio with iPod dock. Luxury guestrooms offer added space and comfort with 400 square feet of living area, wet bar, kitchenette and refrigerator, and the option of additional connecting bedrooms. Additionally, most guestrooms feature added amenities including microwave, bidet and separate shower and bath.
The renovations also include new names, new styles and new menus to all of the onsite restaurants including the Banyan Restaurant, Bar ZEN, Bamboo Spa Café and Cabana Bar & Café. Plus, the hotel will be launching a fine dining restaurant, Ireland’s Steakhouse, by the end of the year. Additionally, the hotel features a state-of-the-art conference center covering 100,000 square feet of meeting space. Three newly designed ballrooms, an exceptional amphitheater, three executive boardrooms and 10 breakout rooms round out this conference center.
Hyatt Regency Bonaventure also provides guests with a haven of relaxation – the recently opened 48,000 square foot Red Door Lifestyle Spa, Elizabeth Arden. The spa provides a complete oasis of calm and tranquility with 30 serene treatment rooms, a Zen Garden, Pilates studio, movement studio, fitness and weight room, sauna and steam room.
“One hundred million dollars is obviously not a small price tag. But as a result of this investment, the hotel is a new product – it has undergone a complete overhaul. As the Hyatt brand, we are proud to be associated with this hotel, which offers a luxurious yet comfortable experience and is ideal for both the leisure and business traveler,” said Euler.
The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure is located in the community of Weston, which is in Western Fort Lauderdale along the southeastern coast of Florida and is 15 miles from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The hotel is four miles from the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall, Florida’s largest retail and entertainment complex offering more than 350 stores, popular restaurants and multiplex cinemas. Nearby Ft. Lauderdale and the Everglades provides an array of day or nighttime activities and leisure pursuits.
