The blaze at the 104-year-old Wayzata, Minn. property burned for roughly three hours and caused “significant interior damage” to a wing with office space and lockers before it was declared under control. Two firefighters were slightly hurt when fighting the fire, which was discovered by a worker reporting for duty in the morning to the club.

The club has had the outdoor shooting range since 1956, and it has gained popularity in recent years, with skeet/trap shooting ranking as the fastest growing high school sport in the state. Nearby residents said that while they aren’t anti-gun, they are annoyed by the sound of the shooting and want it to be limited.
