On March 19, five of the company’s venues offered free game play, golf instruction and food-and-beverage amenities, as part of a collaboration with The First Tee and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf that launched a year-round program, through which similar benefits will now be offered to charitable organizations and high-school golf teams.
USGA, Chevron Announce STEM Scholarship Program
The $5,000-$10,000 scholarships are available to students who plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university as a full-time student with a focus in science, technology, engineering and math-related courses. Applicants must also demonstrate an interest in golf, including school team and tournament participation, involvement in a First Tee chapter, or other golf-related extracurricular activities.
