CC of South Carolina Hosts Storm Damage Tournament
The Florence, S.C., property suffered $180,000 in damage last October when Hurricane Matthew passed through, and the club hosted a tournament on January 28 to raise money to cover the repair costs not covered by insurance. Two holes were flooded as a result of the storm and about 50 trees were lost.
Two Palm City, Fla., Golf Properties Recently Sold

Golf Course at The Palms at Oakdale CC Flooded from South Carolina Rains
Some reports said a dam had broken to send water onto the course in Florence, S.C. as the region contends with historic rainfall. But a Board member for the community said the dam was still intact and its spillway was behaving as designed, to allow water from Lake Oakdale to flow across a portion of the course.

Country Club Of South Carolina Now Open For Outside Play
Public play at the Florence, S.C. property’s Ellis Maples-designed course will begin as soon as daylight saving time begins March 8, with a $45 greens fee that includes golf cart and range balls. “This will give us the opportunity to expose golfers to the Southern charm of the club and the extensive recreational amenities and dining opportunities available to club members,” said General Manager Fred Burnett.
