The Woodbury, Minn. club will close The Osteria Restaurant and reopen in mid-March as the “T. Morris Pub & Grill,” in a nod to Scottish golf legend Tom Morris. The new venue will seek to fill the void for a neighborhood pub, with a menu featuring “casual classics” such as specialty burgers and fish and chips.
The Osteria Restaurant at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minn. is reimagining itself, the Woodbury Bulletin reported.
The owners of Osteria and Prestwick announced that the restaurant will be closing its doors on February 27 and reopening in mid-March under the name T. Morris Pub & Grill, the Bulletin reported.
Named after the Scottish golfer Tom Morris, the restaurant will serve up casual pub classics, such as fish and chips and specialty burgers.
“We are excited to bring a fun new restaurant to Prestwick that the neighborhood and golfers can enjoy,” owner Jeanne Mooty said in a statement, the Bulletin reported. She and her husband, David, have run the golf course and attached restaurant for 20 years in Woodbury.
The Mootys said they have recognized the absence of a neighborhood pub, and have been working with Minneapolis-based consulting group Mise en Place to develop the T. Morris Pub & Grill culinary team and concept, the Bulletin reported.
The restaurant space is undergoing heavy renovation, which will include a more open and bright atmosphere and additional bar seating.
Open daily at 11 a.m., T. Morris Pub & Grill will serve lunch and dinner, the Bulletin reported. It will also feature a happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m.
More about the new restaurant concept can be found on the pub and grill’s website, tmorrispubgrill.com.
