Golf Wichita, which is free to download, provides information about golf specials, tournaments, and course conditions, and offers push notifications during inclement weather.
Wichita Public Golf Courses have launched a mobile golf application, fittingly called Golf Wichita. The golf app provides information about golf specials, tournaments, course conditions and more, the Wichita-based KSN-TV reported.
The golf courses included in the app include L.W. Clapp Golf Course, MacDonald Golf Course, Auburn Hills, Arthur B. Sim Golf Course, and Tex Consolver Municipal Golf Course.
“After reviewing all the information obtained from the public regarding GPS, Pace of Play issues and easy access to tee times, we were searching for a solution,” said Troy Hendricks, Golf Manager. “This mobile app will give us a new way to communicate with golfers through push notifications to keep them up to date on course conditions and available tee times.”
The app is free to download in iTunes and Play Store; Golf Wichita’s mobile app offers golfers a concierge level of service to enhance their playing experience. During inclement weather, push notifications will inform golfers of course conditions to help them make an educated decision on moving forward with their tee time. This feature also will be used to inform golfers on spontaneous promotions, KSN-TV reported.
During October, download the Golf Wichita Mobile App and register to win four free rounds of golf. To find out more about the Golf Wichita Mobile App, visit www.golfwichita.com.
