The Jenkins, Ky. property is owned by TECO Coal and features a course that was built on a former strip-mining site and has elevations that reach nearly 3,000 feet around the quarry.
Raven Rock Golf Course in Jenkins, Ky. has selected Integrity Golf Company as its course management firm.
Raven Rock is owned by TECO Coal and known for being one of Kentucky’s first golf course reclamation projects. Built on a former strip-mining site, Raven Rock features striking elevations that reach nearly 3,000 feet around the dramatic quarry.
Paul Fleming, the property’s longtime golf professional and General Manager, has been retained by Integrity Golf and will continue to run the 18-hole facility. Fleming started his full-time career at the par-70, 6,303-yard public course in 2007 when he was named assistant pro. He was promoted to Head Professional in 2011.
“The future looks real exciting with a golf company like Integrity Golf now in charge,” Fleming says. “I can’t wait to start sharing the Integrity Golf network with our golfers and community.”
Raven Rock Golf Course recently added a new clubhouse with banquet facilities and a full-service restaurant that overlook the breathtaking valley.
The lease agreement, effective August 1, represents Integrity Golf’s second course in Kentucky. Overall, Orlando-based Integrity Golf now has 34 golf facilities in six states (Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina).
Integrity Golf Company President/CEO Gene Garrote is looking forward to making further inroads into the Kentucky golf market with this latest Eastern Kentucky golf course acquisition.
“We look forward to partnering with the Raven Rock ownership and the surrounding community,” said Garrote. “We’re eager to start sharing our national expertise and complementing everybody’s ongoing efforts and stewardship with this notable property. We’re excited about the future viability of Raven Rock.”
