The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. is gearing up for next week’s Greenbrier Classic. This will be West Virginia’s first PGA FedEx Cup tournament and it takes place July 26 through Aug. 1 at The Greenbrier Resort.
The course had bleachers built, increased the course distance, made the course more difficult and added many other changes. Tim McNeely, the Director of the Greenbrier Classic, says these changes aren’t just because of the PGA Tour, but it’s to make the resort and the Old White course a place people will want to return to, reports the West Virginia MetroNews.
Besides all of the changes and renovations on the course, Greenbrier owner Jim Justice is bring in Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and West Virginia native Brad Paisley to have a private concert for the golfers and the fans.
